Byproduct of Industry Tables

I worked for a company at one time that fabricated various commercial displays for various corporate clients for temporary durations of time.

What happened to the material after serving its product promotional purpose? It became trash instantly of course.

The surface of these tables is a piece of MDF I rescued from an undignified fate at the landfill. It spent many hours serving as the sacrificial underlayment slab during a job cycle; the resulting grooves the product of multiple passes during many hours of cutting.
